Void Fill Packaging is a fundamental requirement for anyone distributing products but traditional methods required the storage and disposal of large volumes of material. The client’s concept was to produce volume on demand with the use of polyethylene tube stock injected with compressed air and sealed into cushions.

TekPro were invited to take the original concept machine and improve reliability whilst bringing it up to date for CE compliance. This has resulted in 12 years of involvement and five reiterations of the original concept with reductions in cost and improvements in functionality. Major expansion with increased market share and demand has been the prize for our client.

Cost restraints and reliability have been the main factors of product design for this client so special care has been taken in getting the balance between these, at times, opposing characteristics, right by the TekPro design team. Over the years the engineering needs have evolved from basic mechanics to sophisticated electronics to simple push button control in response to market and client driven needs. TekPro have adapted and responded promptly to every challenge proving their flexibility and innovative spirit.

Several thousand machines have been manufactured under the control of our Quality Management System. Our client has to be confident that when he places the machine it will perform its function first time and reliably into the future. It is this attention to detail and control in the manufacturing process, coupled with adherence to our ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System, that has fulfilled our customer’s trust in TekPro.

11 years ago rather than expand our factory in France we elected to use TekPro as the manufacturing and development base for our range of Packaging systems. Continuous product improvement and manufacturing consistency have ensured our position as industry leaders and is a testament to the reliability of their engineering and production skills.
